Uh oh..
Besides academic books, I've been reading..
"The Economic Naturalist- Why Economics Explains Almost Everything" by Robert H Frank.
I think it's a wonderful book- very interesting and you don't have to be studying Economics to understand the contents..
The interesting questions asked and explained are such as:
"Why did Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?"
"Why does Transport for London charge significantly more for a tube or bus journey if you buy a paper ticket than it does if you use the Oyster Pre-Pay system?"
"Why do women endure the discomfort of high heels?"
"Why do women's clothes always button from the left, while men's clothes always button from the right?"
"Why is it easier to find a partner when you already have one?"
Very interesting and entertaining. You wouldn't think economics can be used to explain all of these, but it really can!
