I just got braces fixed for my lower teeth.

Geez, now I really have what they call a 'metal mouth'.

Right now it still feels a little uncomfortable but nothing beats the pain when I had the mouth expander on to allow the orthodontist to fix the braces.

All I could think of was, 'Oh gosh, the things I do to myself!!'

It will all be worth it after I get them removed by, let's say, March 2011?

1.5 years of enduring a 'metal mouth' in exchange for a lifetime's worth of straight teeth.

Cost < Benefit, therefore, a rational choice right?

Oh dear, till then, it's back to the mashed potato and porridge diet for a while.
